BuySellAds- How to Promote Your Blog in 7 Simple Steps

I always believe in reinvesting money in business, whether it is online or offline.
Though, I am not making huge money by blogging, I always make sure to reinvest the money to my blog.
So far, I’ve tried different advertising options like AdWords and BuySellAds to promote the services (Blogger to WordPress Migration) I’ve been providing on this blog. Because there is a big learning curve for AdWords, I stopped using it and focused more on banner ad promotion by BuySellAds.

Why BuySellAds not AdWords?
It is true that using AdWords you can buy highly targeted traffic. But here are 2 reasons why I don’t currently use AdWords for promotion.
1. Big learning curve
Unless you try it you could not find it. I’ve done advertisement for about $100 so far on AdWords but drastically fail to bring targeted visitors to my blog. Believe it or not, the learning curve is huge.
Instead BuySellAds is much easier to set up. You can bring highly targeted traffic with no hassle. It all depends on which website or blog you choose to advertise.
2. High cost
For each click on AdWords I’ve paid approximately $0.30 – $1 which is more than what I could afford. Instead for BSA, I gotta pay just about $0.1- $0.2 for a click.
Here are 7 simple steps I used to promote my blog using BuySellAds.
Prerequisite
Step #1: Create an ad
Different websites accept different ad sizes like 125X125, 468X60 and many more. I always recommend to use .gif format. Just create an ad using free software like gimp.

Step#2: Set up a landing page
Another important factor. If you don’t use a custom landing page, you’ll lose a lot of customers. So create a landing page that passes simple but easy to grasp message without any hassles like putting external links on it.

Step #3: Start email subscription
If you don’t like to build email list I would rather recommend not to buy ad via BuySellAds. People are reluctant to submit contact form.. I know that before I’ve experienced it. Once I replaced contact form with email subscription form I found that people started to subscribe it.
Another reason to use email subscription form on services landing page is that people may need more time before they can afford you to hire for the service.

Why email subscription form NOT contact form?
Case 1: You use contact form on services landing page
When someone landed on your page who would like to hire you not immediately but in near future, he’ll more likely to leave your site after reading the content on the landing page without submitting contact form asking any query about your product or services.
Once he leave your site chances are high that he may forget about your site and services and never come back to your site for hire you.
Case 2: You use email subscription form on services landing page
When someone landed on your page who would like to hire you not immediately but in near future, he’ll more likely to subscribe to the newsletter.
Thereby you can
1. Build relationship with your future clients
2. After all you can encourage and convince them to hire you for the services.

On BuySellAds
Step #4: Search a site on BuySellAds Marketplace
There are A LOT OF websites and blogs with high traffic and reputation who are ready to sell you ad space. So never sacrifice with low quality websites. Choose a website in your targeted niche.
Step #5: Purchase an ad space
Once you choose a targeted website or blog, the next step is to upload the creative and purchase the ad space.
Analyze your ad
Step #6: Set up goal using Analytics
BSA will show you your ad performance by each creative’s click through rate by which you can decide among your ads which work better.
You can also use Google Analytics goals to calculate conversion rate of your landing page.
Step #7: Start A/B testing
Nothing can replace the importance of A/B testing. You can change each and every aspects of your ad and landing page thus calculate the conversion rate.

I have never known BuySellAds before but you’re right that AdWords is high cost. I spent much money for AdWords but I got a little in return. Maybe I am not experienced enough to make use of AdWords.
